Giving everyone knowledge to help keep children safe
The campaign Listen up, Speak up aims to get adults to take the ‘Connect the DOTS’ training which helps them spot the signs if worried about a child. Barriers like being worried you’ve got it wrong means that one in five adults don’t act on a concern.
I worked on initial concepts through to roll out of the creative. The look and feel needed to have energy and empower people to want to take the training.
I helped direct different scenarios which showed examples of when a child might need help. They had to be clear to understand and not scary.
The training itself needed to be simple to navigate through. I worked closely with an external agency who created the training modules, giving direction on how to apply the campaign assets.
In the first two weeks of launch there were 9,000 sign ups online to do the training. With the ambition of over 200,000 signs up over the next three years.
